CLOUDS
A dragon of the castle
guarding his czar
A sword unsheathed
threatening a scar
Crimson coral reefs
dangerously calm
A child in rapture
of a lulling psalm.
A curvaceous beauty
breathtaking in her charm
A wizened lady
spinning her yarn
Generous hands
poised with a gift
A face upturned
in wait for the kiss.
Cascades of white
soft yearning creams
Curtains of gold with
lavender seams
Drenched and awash
in cool sunbeams
I gaze and build
in clouds, my dreams.

Moonshine
Rolling over silver plains,
in pallor golden, splendour great,
A shy moon in honey,
drunk with love,
In search of conclusions
to a romance half-spun.
Lost in a mirage,
breathless and dazed, burning, melting
but seeking unfazed,
The essence of amour;
The kindred soul
who understands her very core.
Can he match her silent tan,
smile roguishly and still seem wan,
Will he prove her par at dawn?
Will he let her stay sweet and shy,
she giggles as she ponders...high.
Misty moonbeams, her virgin beads
strung on shafts with lazy speed,
She scatters as she glides in bliss,
knowing soon, she is to be kissed.

The new year of 2009 was the first that my little daughter celebrated. She had a blast and did not sleep till 2 am!! And even then I had to bully her into it. Here are some pics of that night. All the residents had to contribute a dish to the dinner table. The one over which you see the lovely lady twitching her nose over was my humble contribution:)
